1. YOGA ASANAS

Sadashiva

An asana is a body posture, originally a sitting pose for meditation, and later in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise, adding reclining, standing, inverted, twisting, and balancing poses to the meditation seats. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali define "asana" as  is steady and comfortable position. Patanjali mentions the ability to sit for extended periods as one of the eight limbs of his system. Asanas are also called yoga poses or yoga postures in English.

Asanas were claimed to provide both spiritual and physical benefits in medieval hatha yoga texts. More recently, studies have provided evidence that they improve flexibility, strength, and balance; to reduce stress and conditions related to it; and specifically to alleviate some diseases such as asthma and diabetes.

At Sadashivayogshala we take care of aspirants to teach each asana perfectly and comfortable to avoid any injuries .

 

2. PRANAYAMA

PRANAYAMA

"Pranayama is control of Breath". "Prana" is Breath or vital energy in the body. On subtle levels prana represents the pranic energy responsible for life or life force, and "ayama" means control. So Pranayama is "Control of Breath".

One can control the rhythms of pranic energy with pranayama and achieve healthy body and mind. Patanjali in his text of Yoga Sutras mentioned pranayama as means of attaining higher states of awareness, he mentions the holding of breath as important practice of reaching Samadhi. Hatha Yoga also talks about 8 types of pranayama which will make the body and mind healthy.

Five types of prana are responsible for various pranic activities in the body, they are Prana, Apana, Vyan, Udana & Samana. Out of these Prana and Apana are most important. Prana is upward flowing and Apana is downward flowing. Practice of Pranayama achieves the balance in the activities of these pranas, which results in healthy body and mind.

At Sadashivayogshala each aspirants are thought various types of pranayama according to their programmes.

 

3. MEDITATION

MEDITATION

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Meditation is the most important aspect of yoga. Meditation is the 7thAnga of Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali. It is a gate way to the inner world. There may be different practices to reach the ultimate goal. But the end is one and the same, that is Self Realization. Besides, meditation has amazing physical and mental beauty.
We are training our aspirants different techniques of meditation such as concentration meditation, mindfulness meditation, simple meditation techniques for beginners, transcendental meditation, and Osho meditation and so on.
These meditation techniques will naturally prevent the lopsided growth of the human mind. It will help gain mastery over the mind by adding the dimension of cessation of thoughts. Not suppression but sublimation. Not just learning to concentrate and focus but to invoke the skill to calm down the mind of the aspirants.

 

4. SHATKARMAS  &  BANDHA

SHATKARMAS  &  BANDHA

The hatha yoga cleansing processes have been placed into six groups of purification practices known as shatkarmas, ‘Shat’ meaning six and ‘karma’ meaning action. They are described in the ancient texts of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and Gherand Samhita. The six shatkarmas are neti, cleansing of the nasal passages, dhouti, cleansing of the alimentary canal, nauli, strengthening of the abdominal organs, basti, cleansing of the large intestine, kapalbhati, cleansing of the frontal area of the brain and tratak, intense gazing of a point developing concentration and cleansing the mind.
 
Bandha is a "body lock" in Hatha Yoga, being a kind of mudra. ... Mula Bandha, contraction of the perineum. Uddiyana bandha, contraction of the abdomen into the rib cage. Jalandhara Bandha, tucking the chin close to the chest. Maha Bandha, combining all three of the above bandhas.
We are training our aspirants different techniques of Shatkarmas and Bandha to those who have participated in Yoga Retreat & Yoga TTC programs.

 
5. AYURVEDA  &  PANCHAKARMA

AYURVEDA  &  PANCHAKARMA

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science is originated from one of the four division of "Vedas" i.e. 'Atharva Veda`. Ayurveda has honourable, holistic background of Indian culture. Ayurveda, the science of life. Ayurveda, the science of medical truths from ancient India based on science, religion and philosophy.
Ayurvedic Massage is known as Abhyangam in Sanskrit. According to the Ayurvedic Classics Abhayngam is an important dincharya (Daily Regimen) that is needed for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The massage technique used during Ayurvedic Massage aims to stimulate the lymphatic system. Practitioners claim that benefits of regular Ayurvedic Massage include pain relief, reduction of fatigue, improved immune system, and improved longevity 
Also in most of the cases Ayurveda helps to reduce the frequency of the occurrence of the diseases as it tries to solve the causes of diseases. Part of the Yoga TTC program and Yoga Retreats, we are providing one time Ayurveda Massage. Those who want Ayurveda and Panchakarma Treatment we arrange it at additional cost for the participants.

 

6. SATSANG

Shatshang

Satsang / Satsanga / Satsangam is a word which comes from Sanskrit, meaning to associate with true people, or to be in the company of true people. It is also related to sitting with a sat guru, or in a group meeting seeking that association. The idea behind satsang is that a favorable environment such as the presence of holy people, listening to holy scripture or music, allows an individual to elevate his mind from one that is worldly towards a higher level of thought.It is said that Satsang constitutes one of the four ways - along with contentment, the spirit of inquiry, and self-control - by which people who are "drowning" in samsara (repetitive history) can be saved
Satsang is a part of our Yoga Retreat , Yoga TTC program and other short duration program conducted in yogshala.

LIFESTYLE  &  FOOD

Yogi Lifestyle is totally different from the modern life style and to adopt yogic lifestyle in such modern era is impossible. Healthy living is only possible by eating healthy and doing regular exercise, yoga and other mean of fitness activity . At Sadashivayogshala we guide our students to achieve a healthy living by having a healthy food and proper yoga. Regular practice of yoga helps to stimulate these natural instincts. Yoga changes the habits and is a process of normalization.

Indian Art form

India had always been known as the land that portrayed cultural and traditional vibrancy through its conventional arts and crafts. The 35 states and union territories sprawled across the country have their own distinct cultural and traditional identities, and are displayed through various forms of art prevalent there.

Indian Artform  is a part of our Yoga Retreat  program conducted in yogshala by expert.

Sightseeing trips are arranged as part of the Yoga Retreat & Teacher Training programs at Sadashivayogshala.

Our shala takes opportunities to arrange a local tour of nearby location consisting of touristic places and historical places. This will provide more knowledge about the India cultural and historical aspects.

 

Adventurous Trip will be arranged by the Sadashivayogshala to all those aspirants who have participated in Yoga Retreat programs. Aspirants will be provided proper security and protection during such trip.

 
10. SPIRITUAL HEALING

SPIRITUAL HEALING

Spiritual healing is arranged as part of the Yoga Retreat Programs at Sadashivayogshala. Special Classes are arranged for each students and on the basis of their birth report various studies are done and final report is issued to each student personally and such report are remain confidential with the shala. During that session various queries related to candidate personal life are tried to resolve by an expert. No extra cost is being charged to students.
