3. Syllabus
Practical Lesson:
- Basic & Preparatory movements - More than 30 basic and preparatory movements to warm up the body, muscles and align the joints are taught in the program. These movements help prevent injuries during difficult yoga poses
- Yoga poses / Asana / Yoga positions - Yoga teacher training program includes about 90 different yoga poses starting with poses for beginners and intermediate level and some advance poses are included but
- it is for those who can do it easily.
- Pranayama - Deep Breathing, Fast Breathing, Alternate Nostril Breathing (Anuloma Viloma), Surya Bhedan (Right Nostril Breathing), Bhastrika (Bellow's Breath), Bhramari (Humming Bee Pranayama), Ujjayi (Psychic Breath), Shitali, Sitkari (Cooling Pranayama).
- Meditation - Including Chakra Meditation, Prana Meditation, So Ham Meditation, Mantra meditation
- and Revitalizing Meditation.
- Surya Namaskar - Sun Salutations. A dynamic series of Yoga poses to revitalize the body and mind. (Beginners Series, Intermediate & Advance Series)
- Cleansing Processes- Jalaneti (Nasal Cleansing), Kapalbhati (Frontal Lobe Cleansing), Tratak (Concentration), Dhouti, Partial master cleanse or Lagoo Shankha prakshalana from the Hatha Yoga Tradition.
Theory Lecture:
- Ashtanga Yoga - Yam and Niyama, Asana or Yoga Poses, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyan & Samadhi (Meditation from Ashtanga Yoga).
- Hatha Yoga - History, philosophy, asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha and cleansing techniques.
- Different Types of Yoga (Karma Yoga / Bhagwad Gita, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Swara Yoga, kundalini Yoga, Chakra).
- Ayurveda - Introduction to ayurveda, ayurveda body types, ayurveda diet.
- Yoga Lifestyle & Food
4. RULES & REGULATION
Please note that you are entering an Yoga Shala, which is a new experience. The rules should be followed so as to get the maximum benefit of this environment and make your experience more enjoyable.
Yoga is a discipline of body, mind and spirit. Keeping in view, the rules and regulations are made to enhance the quality of the mind. They are a part of the Yogic lifestyle.

After the admission, participants cannot leave the campus. In case of emergency, written permission from the Course Coordinator is required. |
|
2. |
No friends or relatives are allowed to stay with the participants without any prior permission. |
|
3. |
Alcohol, tobacco or other drugs / steriods / smoking etc are strictly not allowed in the Ashram Premises during the stay in the ashram. (This behaviour may invite strict action against the persons violating this rule.) |
|
4. |
For getting the best results from the practice of yoga, the course schedule and diet is specifically organised; the participants are requested to adjust to this environment as quickly as possible. |
|
5. |
Participants must follow the timetable and attend all sessions, lectures and other activities. |
|
6. |
Please don't bring valuables, if necessary Yogshala can keep them safely for you during the course. |
|
7. |
If you are physically unwell, you are requested to contact the Administrator immediately., |
|
8. |
You can bring your medicines and continue personal treatment but it is advisable to inform the medical Officer or your class teacher about your ailment & treatment. |
|
9. |
In the case of major health problems initial treatment will be provided by the medical officer. Any further treatment required during the course will have to be managed from external medical experts on your own. |
|
10. |
Necessary food arrangements are made in the institute and no external food is allowed. The food in the institute is strictly vegetarian. To experience the good effects of the Yogic lifestyle please do not have anything from outside to eat. |
|
11. |
There is complete silence during the meals. |
|
12. |
Seva Yoga / Karma Yoga is practiced for 1 hour a day. 13. If you are carrying any drugs along with you which against the Indian Law then management can take necessary action against you and even you could be handed over to the nearby Police station. Drugs are not allowed in India and nor in our premises. 14. IF you are carrying certain medicine then please you need to inform before arriving to consult with our Yogshala doctor. 15. If anyone is suffering from some disease then please carry your medical prescription acknowledge by Your country doctor which will be verified by Yogshala doctor. 16. Candidate can photocopies of necessary medical papers and treatment papers for avoiding future risk. |

Course Coordinator reserves the right to enforce any other necessary rules as well as the above rules. |

5. WHAT TO CARRY (Y)
- Clothing - Loose & comfortable clothes for summer & warm ones for winter. Note - You are kindly requested to wear T-shirts / shirts covering the shoulders and long pants below the knees.
- Receipt of Online registration fee (If you have paid it via Internet payment gateway)
- Photos - 4 passport size photos & 4 photocopies of your passport and Indian visa.
- Valuables - You can bring valuables at YOUR OWN RISK. A laptop may be useful but we are not responsible for any loss or damages. Lockers are supplied where you can keep your valuables safely. The Ashram has its own secutiry service.
- Yoga Mats - Please bring your own mats. You can buy mats in the shop. Also Ashram can provide mats at No extra cost.
6. ELIGIBILITY (Y)
- Healthy individuals (physically + mentally) with no experience of yoga. Minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 50 years. For students over the age of 50 a fitness certificate is necessary.
- Yoga aspirants who want to learn the INDIAN TRADITIONAL YOGA & techniques to teach the same.
- If you are expecting modified versions of physical exercises in the name of Yoga then this is not the school for you.
- Any physically & mentally fit individual can do the course
- No prior knowledge of yoga is needed. This course is suitable for those who do not have any knowledge of yoga as well as those who have been practicing yoga for a few years but want to teach
7. FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Registration fees – USD 50 $ and its non refundable which Is need to be paid while registering for the course and reserving your seats for particular batch. The balance fees can be paid after getting a confirmation and registration from the institute. Candidate has to pay their full fees before joining the institute.
8. Accomodation & Food
Accommodation:
- The Yogshala provides lodging facilities to students. A student is provided with an independent compartment in a house. Every house has 4 compartments. A bed, mattress, blankets, sheets and pillow are also provided, the house is self contained with an attached toilet block.
- Hot water is available for 24 hours in every bathroom.
- An independent wardrobe with a locker with key is provided to every student.
- A laundry service is available in the Yogshala at cost (It includes washing machines & hot air dryers.)
- Clean and simple arrangements are provided.
- We are not registered with Yoga Alliance.
Food:
- The dining room serves pure organic vegetarian food in accordance with the yogic life style.
- The food is non spicy and rich in raw vegetables.
- The daily diet consists of various seasonal fruits and vegetables.
- Herbal drinks are provided instead of tea and coffee.
- The food supplied is strictly organic and minimally processed. We place great emphasis on maintaining a highly nutritional and balanced diet.
- The diet is suitable for all, however if a student has any allergies then their needs will be catered for.
- We provide mineral / purified water to all our students for drinking purposes.
Note - Complete silence is maintained in the dining room during the meals.
9. REGISTRATION PROCESS
You can fill the registration form and then you will have to pay registration fees for the course.Once the payment is done then you will receive the message from our team regarding Confirmation of the course and if you don’t get any message from our end then you can send email sadashivayogshala@gmail.com .
